Our Story

Vyze began from the observation that it was difficult for retailers to offer affordable payment options to all their customers through a single lender solution. Many customers weren’t able to get financing, and retailers were jeopardizing a loyal customer base with a poor experience. This was a major pain point, yet went unaddressed by retailers not knowing where to look for a solution. Thus Vyze was born.

2008

Company was born with the goal of modernizing the retail credit experience and making retail credit accessible to everyone.

Raises Series A funding from Austin Ventures to develop a robust enterpise platform

2009

2010

Launches first retail client with the Vyze Point of Sale solution. This retailer is still a client today.

Raises Series B funding from Austin Ventures & StarVest Partners.

2012

2013

Adds two new lenders onto the platform.

Expands enterprise retail customer base by launching a Fortune 500 retailer and gives $200M in purchasing power.

2014

2015

Has solutions in 2,000+ stores across the US.

Rebrands to Vyze, launches into the eCommerce market, and partners with one of the top 10 largest US banks.

2016

2017

Raises $13M in Series C, launches retailers featured on the STORES hot 100 list, empowers customers with more than $800 million in purchasing power, and doubles growth from previous year.

Keith Nealon
CEO

Keith brings to Vyze 20+ years of leadership experience and is driven by a deep passion for scaling high-growth SaaS companies. Prior to Vyze, he held President or General Manager roles at Adaptive Insights, ShoreTel and Eloqua where he helped the companies scale to acquisition or on the path to a successful IPO. Keith also serves on the advisory board of several successful SaaS companies. He often says if he could do it all again, he would be a stand up comic.

John Whitmarsh
CFO

As a CPA and experienced CFO, John has helped grow numerous private equity backed SaaS and FinTech companies to successful exits. He was CFO at Zenoss, Century Payments (Worldpay), MessageOne (Dell), Misys Transactions (Misys UK), and Digital Motorworks (ADP). John is a graduate of the University of Texas – Austin. In his free time you can find John with his wife cheering on their daughters in their numerous activities or supporting the UT Longhorn volleyball and football teams.

Doug Filak
CMO

With years of experience at several top financial institutions, Doug leads the effort to develop innovative marketing initiatives to bring Vyze to more retailers, lenders & consumers. Prior to joining the team, he served as a head of marketing for PayPal, created the Chase Freedom card for Chase Card Services, and held senior roles at American Express, and Citibank. On the weekend, Doug goes back to his analog roots and enjoys listening to his collection of vinyl LPs.

Matt Riley
SVP, Business Development

With years of experience in the financial services space, Matt Riley joins Vyze after leading successful sales teams at top consumer Fintech companies. Holding successive Sr Director Sales/Partnership/BD/GM roles at Paypal, BillMeLater and other network platform companies, he has the ability to build high-performance teams to grow a customer base of enterprise retailers. Outside of the office he spends time on the local lakes with family and friends.

Jai Holtz
VP, Lending & Customer Success

Jai Holtz brings to Vyze more than 20 years of retail experience at Sears Holding Corporation. During his time at Sears he oversaw the development and management of all financial service products. As the VP of Strategic Retail Services, he leverages his retail expertise to enhance Vyze’s solutions, including building relationships with lenders and customers and working cross functionally with sales, product and customer success teams to best meet the needs of retailers and their customers.

Azim Panjwani
VP, Product Management

As a tenured product leader Azim Panjwani knows that the customer experience is key in delivering great solutions. Prior to joining Vyze, Azim has held a variety of product roles including co-founder and chief product and marketing officer at WheelSpoke, senior product leader at QuickBooks, and consultancy positions at McKinsey & Company. At Vyze he spends his time perfecting product design and making our products accessible to every customer.

Denis Brooker
VP, Information Security

Denis heads all of Vyze’s security initiatives to create and grow a security program that is a top-line selling point for the organization. As an experienced IT executive, Denis has held many senior roles  and supervised over 40 IT professionals. For 15 years he led information security initiatives for NetSpend and Guaranty Bank/Temple Inland. His specialties include CISSP, GCFA, GCIH, GCIA, CISM, EC-SA & PCIP certifications with a robust background in information security in fin-tech environments.
